I am a long time runner, cross country and track in high school, then later jogging and marathon. Like many runners, I would experience cramping, nausea and sometimes diarrhea on particularly hard runs especially in hot weather. Living in Florida, this can be a problem! I found that electrolytes before a run essentially eliminate the problem. I use a simple product that one can get at the running store or online. It contains concentrated electrolytes. A few drops in a glass of water, problem solved.
